Welcome to Wicklow Sailing Club 

Home of The Round Ireland Yacht Race

Founded in 1950 the club currently has over three hundred members, racing in several classes including cruisers, lasers, toppers, topazes and picos. Racing for cruisers during the summer season is every Wednesday and Sunday, while racing for dinghies is held every Saturday afternoon and Thursday evenings. We provide Junior Training during the month of July and/or August .Wicklow Sailing Club is an I.S.A accredited training centre for junior training levels 1 to 5 and also powerboat training.  

Our sailing visitors are always welcome to use the Clubhouse and it's facilities . Our cruiser fleet are always in need of crew so do not think you need a boat to sail  pop down any sailing day and test the waters . The bar is open Sunday afternoons, Saturday  and Wednesday evenings  in the summer (Jun/Jul/Aug) and Sunday in the winter.  Adequate berthing is available on the quayside (East pier) or by prior arrangement on swing moorings e-mailThe Commercial Harbour is often busy with unloading ships or fishing vessels but permission can be sought from the Harbour Master (tel: 0404 67455 Mon-Fri 9-5) to berth in the river in the event of North Easterlies.
